Writing a book is hard, because you are ‘giving yourself away’. But if you love, you want to give yourself. You write as you are impelled to write, about man is his problems, his relation to God and his fellows. You write about yourself because in the long run all man’s problem are the same, his human needs of sustenance and love.”
Blogging is to me, and has always been, slightly uncomfortable. Dorothy Day, the founder of Catholic Worker, also found it hard to write. But if we love, we want to give ourselves away. I hope I will learn this summer that sharing stories isn’t something bad at all.
Dorothy Day låter som en intressant kvinna, va heter boken?
”The Long Loneliness” heter den. Läs den Linz.

Thank you for posting your thoughts in English too! I agree–I find it hard to write. It’s comforting to know that both you and Dorothy feel that way, and also inspiring to think of it as giving ourselves away. Thanks, Maja!
